Full-time Paint and Finishing Assistant.
We are looking for a reliable and conscientious person to join our workshop team. You will be working in our on-site work-shop, in between Bethersden and Ashford, with our brilliant and talented work-shop team, painting and finishing our cabinetry. This is a wonderful opportunity as our purpose continues to grow.
Requirements for the role:
- Able to work well within a team and possess good communication skills;
- Have an eye for detail;
- Able to prioritise your workload and work to deadlines;
- Be willing to learn the Collins Bespoke way of working! (though, if you have a better way, we listen.)
- Be self motivated
- Able to commute to our remote location during rush hour with your own transport - please check our location first and journey time! (TN26 3DL)
This is a full-time position. The hours are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday and Fridays are 08:00 - 15:45.

About Us
For nearly 30 years, Nick Collins has been designing and making bespoke cabinetry. Collins Bespoke was borne from Nick’s passion for bespoke interiors, and is where his craftsmanship has been nurtured, refined and shared. The Collins Bespoke team is an array of skilled crafts-people, mostly trained in-house: from designing, planning and templating; to finishing, assembling and installing.
Headed by Nick, Director and Designer, and supported by Gemma, Director and Marketing Manager, driven by some pretty awesome designers, committed project managers and incredibly skilled workshop extraordinaires, the Collins Bespoke team is pretty great - we are proud of them all.
The Team
NICK COLLINS
Nick began working as an apprentice for Kent-based rocking horse makers, Stevenson Brothers, in 1994. In 2001, he took the leap into self-employment, where he started designing and making bespoke cabinetry and joinery from a small garden-based workshop. Demand for his work grew and Nick began working in a partnership and took on his first apprentice. Gradually, his team flourished and they moved to Old Surrenden Manor.
Nick’s unique ability to visualise and design very beautiful spaces, complemented by thorough and unrivalled practical knowledge have positioned him as a respected, knowledgeable and popular designer.
Outside of work, Nick was an elite level cyclist. And, still, when he is not working, Nick runs competitively for Ashford & District Road Running club.
